All prices above reflect JoCo Cruise’s all-in pricing, which includes all costs necessary to sail aboard JoCo Cruise 2023 (cruise fare, government taxes/fees, and pre-paid gratuities; see below or our FAQ for a full listing of what’s included and what’s not included in the above prices.)

IMPORTANT: The ONLY way to book JoCo Cruise 2023 is directly through JoCo Cruise. No exceptions.

JoCo Cruise strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance to protect your deposits in case of emergencies.

-AVAILABLE DISCOUNTS

EARLY BOOKING DISCOUNT – $75 PER BERTH

NOTE: the deadline for the Early Booking Discount has passed, and it is no longer available for new 2023 bookings. Those who book before April 1, 2022 will receive $75 off per berth.

RETURNER DISCOUNT

Anyone who has sailed on any previous JoCo Cruise may receive one of the following “Returner” discounts off the full retail price:

• $50 per berth if you’ve sailed on one previous JoCo Cruise (“MonoTurner”)
• $125 per berth if you’ve sailed on two or more previous JoCo Cruises (“MultiTurner”)

The Returner discount applies to all passengers in a Returner’s booking, even if not all of them are Returners. Neat!

NOTE: the Returner Discount will be applied to all passengers in a booking based on the Returner status of the booking’s Primary Contact. Example: if the Primary Contact is a MonoTurner (has been on one previous cruise) and another passenger in the booking is a MultiTurner (has been on two or more), the Returner discount for all passengers in the booking would be the at the MonoTurner rate $50 per berth.

TODDLER/INFANT DISCOUNT – $400 PER TODDLER/INFANT

Children under the age of 3 as of the date of sailing (March 5, 2023) may receive a $400 per-child discount, which will be applied towards the total balance owed. This discount is automatically applied during the booking process.

CHILD DISCOUNT – $250 PER CHILD (AGES 3-12)

Children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old as of the date of sailing (March 5, 2023) may receive a $250 per-child discount, which will be applied towards the total balance owed. This discount is automatically applied during the booking process.

3% PAY IN FULL DISCOUNT

NOTE: As of March 21, 2022, the Pay in Full Discount has met the 300-bookings quota; if you have not yet booked, this discount is no longer available. (If you booked onboard JoCo Cruise 2022 and haven’t yet paid but have contacted us about paying in full, your booking still qualifies for this discount.) The Pay in Full Discount of 3% of the total retail cost of the booking (calculated after any other applicable discounts have been applied) will be available to the first 300 bookings that are paid in full at the time of booking.

CABIN SELECTION AND PREFERENCES

The initial booking process will place you in a “provisional” cabin; the process will also prompt you for any preferences of location, requests to be placed near specific other passengers, etc. While we can’t guarantee to fill every request, we will do our best to accommodate everyone.

NOTE: actual JoCo Cruise 2023 cabin assignments will not be made until well into 2022. (Among other things, this allows us the time and flexibility to try to fulfill everyone’s cabin placement requests, which can be an extremely time-consuming manual process.)

DEPOSIT/PAYMENT DEADLINES

JoCo Cruise 2023 requires the following minimum deposit amounts.

• Due at the time of booking (if prior to May 4, 2022): 15% of your total booking cost
• May 4, 2022: 30% of your total booking cost
• July 1, 2022: 50% of your total booking cost
• October 3, 2022: 70% of your total booking cost
• January 1, 2023: 100% of your total booking cost

Bookings made on or after January 1, 2023 will require payment in full at the time of booking.

FORMS OF PAYMENT

Currently, the JoCo Cruise online booking process can accept ACH transfers from US-based bank accounts. The ACH transfer process withdraws funds from an existing bank account rather than placing a charge against a credit card account. In this regard, an ACH transfer works somewhat like a wire transfer, but is less complicated and most banks won’t charge any fee for it—for those that do, it’s usually less expensive than wire transfer fees. (Think of it as similar to a Venmo transaction.) You will need your login information for your bank account for this process. (The login is handled securely and directly within the JoCo Cruise booking/payment process, via Plaid.) Please see our FAQ for further information regarding our ACH transfer process.

Currently, JoCo Cruise cannot accept payments via credit card or PayPal. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Our system supports ACH transfers from most major American financial institutions as well as many smaller banks and credit unions (over 2,000 in total). If you don’t have a US-based bank account, if you know for certain your account cannot process ACH transfers, or if you know for certain your institution is not supported by Plaid, and you wish to book JoCo Cruise 2023, do not go through the online booking process; instead, please email us at [email protected]. 

INCLUDED IN THE JOCO CRUISE 2023 ALL-IN-ONE CRUISE PRICE

The following are included in the Cruise Prices listed in the Pricing Table:

• Your cruise fare
• All taxes/fees
• Crew Incentive charges (gratuities for stateroom steward, head waiter, waiter and assistant waiter)
• Access to JoCo Cruise entertainment and events
• All your on-board meals (excluding optional meals in the ship’s “specialty” restaurants)
• 24-hour room service
• Tea, coffee, and iced tea
• Use of the gym
• The wind at your back, the sky overhead, the sea spray in your face

NOT INCLUDED IN THE CRUISE PRICE

The following are not included in the Cruise Prices listed in the Pricing Table:

• Alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and bottled juices
• Use of the spa
• Casino action
• Holland America shore excursions
• Ship to shore telephone, internet access
• Some “specialty” dining venues and options
• Some on-board activities (including bingo, specialty lunches, etc.)
• Any expenses of a personal nature (purchases made in shipboard stores or auctions; laundry; travel to/from the airport; pre- and/or post-cruise hotel; shuttle to/from airport; extra gratuities for particularly excellent service; etc.)
• Medical services

• NOTES:
  Holland America Lines reserves the right to impose a fuel supplement on all guests if the price of light sweet crude exceeds $70.00 per barrel, according to the New York Mercantile Exchange Index. If imposed, this supplement will be passed on to all JoCo Cruise bookings.

  Additionally, while it is not a fee, during your online check-in process, HAL will preauthorize (i.e.,place a hold on) a credit or debit card for each booking member’s onboard account—as of this writing, for $60 per day per person (total of $420 per person) for anyone aged 18+. Some banks may keep these holds in place for up to 30 days. If you prefer, you may also use cash or a prepaid gift/rewards card to pay this amount at the ship’s Guest Services desk on the day of boarding.

  If Holland America Line increases its daily Crew Incentive charges (gratuity) rates, the difference between the new rate and the current pre-paid rate included in the JoCo Cruise 2023 price (currently $17/day per passenger for suites, $15.50/day per passenger for all other cabins) will be passed along to all JoCo Cruise bookings.

AVAILABILITY / WAIT LIST

All cabin categories and prices listed above are subject to availability. (i.e., the fact that they are listed above does not necessarily indicate that a given cabin is definitely available; the actual booking process will accurately reflect current cabin availability.)

If your desired cabin category is currently sold out, or if you’re already booked but are seeking to switch to a currently-unavailable cabin category, all hope is not lost! A number of cabins usually free up due to cancellations.

In either above case, you can sign up on the JoCo Cruise wait list. When signing up on the wait list, just indicate which cabin type(s) you are interested in, and you’ll be notified if a cabin of your desired type comes available.

CANCELLATION POLICY

No exceptions will be made to JoCo Cruise 2023’s cancellation policy under any circumstances (including but not limited to: personal financial or health issues, adverse weather, or being denied boarding by Holland America Line for any reason). JoCo Cruise highly recommends purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that could impact your ability to sail on JoCo Cruise 2023 (e.g., a snowstorm, appendicitis, family emergencies, etc.).

CLUB SRO

You’ll have the option to apply to join Club SRO (Standing-Room Only), which is designed for JoCo Cruise guests who don’t need or want to attend every onboard main concert (e.g., nerd-adjacent spouses, people who don’t like crowds, or aren’t super-interested in the concerts.)

People who join Club SRO each receive a $125 credit to their onboard stateroom accounts. In return, they will not have guaranteed seating at the nightly Main Concerts, instead can either wait until after the show start for open seats (if available), or watch the show via simulcast in the Billboard Onboard lounge or later on via their stateroom TVs.
